Entry cost vs. play count — what's the sweet spot for your first 100 plays?
Genuinely asking, not rhetorical. I've seen creators here go three different routes:
1. **Always free (entry 0P)** — you grow plays fast but the wallet looks empty so people churn before they invest. My "Vowel Hunter" got plays but zero repeat sessions.
2. **Mid (50P)** — feels like a coffee tip. People who play tend to retry, but new-creator drop-off is real. They look at the price + your unknown handle and bounce.
3. **High (200P)** — only people who actively heard about your game from a friend convert. Tiny audience but every play feels intentional.
What are you all doing for a brand-new game with no audience yet?
I'm leaning toward: launch free for the first week → bump to 50P once you have ≥5 5-star reviews. But I haven't tested it. Has anyone actually done this?
